Terms of Services
General
I will share WIPs of the artwork unless you state you would like me to keep it hidden.I have the right to refuse any commissions.I do not allow my works to be included in any AI database.I do not allow my works to be sold as NFT.I do not allow my works to be used in promoting any crimes and political agendas.Credit my work as Johyoo.I accept commissions in English, Mandarin.Do allow 2 to 4 business days for me to reply to your request.
Payments:
I will start work only after payment is done.Payment is 50/50 (Before I start and After I am done).Payment plans are available if requested.Refund is available if I haven't started on your commission.
Revisions:
I will do revisions during the sketch phase.I will do minor changes for revisions but major changes post sketch phase will be charged a revision fee.Do not work with me if you are extremely nitpicky and will not allow me to have any artistic liberties. This is extremely important to me as I enjoy being creative within boundaries.
Deadlines & Delivery:Let me know your deadlines before we start or I will be working with my own schedules. For complex commissions it might take at least 2-3 months (Background with Animations etc).Final deliverables will be discussed at the beginning of the project. Upon agreement on the final deliverables, client may not request additional deliverables without an additional fee. I may reject providing extra files if I wasn't notified in advance because I may not have it in a format that can be easily exported. Default deliverables for illustrations will be in .PSD (with a .png preview).
Intellectual Property Rights:
I am allowed to use the commissions I've done for you as samples and portfolio pieces.Unless an NDA is requested, the process of the commissions may be work in progress may be posted on my social medias.
Cancellation & Refunds:
No refunds are provided once I've started, but if cancellation from a client occurs midway, they would not need to pay the final 50% of the commission. Client would also not be able to receive the final deliverables.I may request to halt or cancel a commission for any reason, including but not limited to: exceeding original project scope, excessive amount of revisions, difficulty collaborating with client, or major creative differences.If the client has paid for the first 50% of the commission, I will keep the first half of the commission rate and will provide the current work that has been worked on. They will not have to pay for the final 50% as they will not be receiving the final deliverables. They are allowed to ask another artist to use the artwork they commissioned from me as a base concept, as long as clear credit of me as the base artist is displayed.All cancelled work are subjected under NDA & a contract will be agreed upon mutually.Communication:
I prefer to communicate via email.If at any point of the commission, we receive hostile or inappropriate remarks as well as demeaning language, the commission will be terminated.I will refer to my ToS whenever any issues arises, so please read through everything before commissioning me.
